How to treat Hyperlipidemia, starting with behavioral adjustments.

Browse By

Hyperlipidemia is a condition in which the body has more fat than normal in the blood. High fat may be cholesterol or triglycerides. High blood fat is called Hyperlipidemia and is a risk factor for heart and blood vessel disease, blocked blood vessels, insufficient blood flow to various organs of the body and can be life-threatening.

Causes of high blood fat

  • Eating foods high in blood fat, saturated fat, UFABET, and trans fat may increase the risk of developing hyperlipidemia.
  • Obesity can increase your risk
  • Other lifestyle factors that contribute to high blood cholesterol levels include lack of exercise and smoking.
  • Your genetics may also affect your chances of developing high cholesterol.
  • Genes are passed down from parents to children. Certain genes direct your body to process blood lipids and fats. If your parents had high blood lipids, you may be at risk of having high blood lipids as well.
Other health conditions, such as diabetes and hypothyroidism, can increase your risk of developing high blood lipids and related complications.

Behavior of people with high blood fat.

The principle of treating hyperlipidemia is to consider reducing the risk factors along with changing behaviors that lead to various diseases.

  • Focus on consuming vegetables, fruits, grains and healthy protein sources such as low-fat dairy products, low-fat poultry (without the skin), fish and nuts.
  • Avoid foods and drinks that are high in cholesterol, saturated fat and sugar, such as fried foods, fatty meats, butter, cakes and animal organs.
  • Overweight people should control their diet and exercise regularly at least 3-4 times/week, each time for at least 40 minutes.

For the most part, high cholesterol is a “silent killer.” It usually causes no symptoms. Many people don’t even know they have high cholesterol until they experience serious complications, such as a heart attack or stroke.

Lifestyle changes can effectively and sustainably lower cholesterol levels, but in some cases, medication may be required. This should only be done under the doctor’s discretion.
