Spain duo Alvaro Morata and Rodri have been banned for one game after using offensive language during Euro 2024 celebrations football.

The Gibraltar Football Association has officially submitted a request to UEFA to investigate the Euro 2024 celebrations. In which Morata and Rodri were seen chanting “Gibraltar belongs to Spain” before the two Spanish internationals were charged.
UEFA has banned Morata and Rodri for their actions, inappropriate behavior. Using sports to express non-sporting issues, and bringing football, especially UEFA, into disrepute.
Meanwhile, Morata and Rodri’s one-game suspensions will take effect for the next game away to Serbia in the UEFA Nations League on September 5.
The messages he and Rodri conveyed were about a past dispute between Spain and England over Gibraltar. Which was linked to their Euro 2024 final victory.
The Gibraltar FA complained about Spain’s behaviour. Saying it had “noted the extremely provocative and insulting nature of the celebrations around the Spanish men’s national football team winning Euro 2024”.
“Football has no place for behaviour of this nature.” it added.
